BOARD OF ELECTRICAL EXAMINERS

The Board of Electrical Examiners advises the Board of County Commissioners on matters related to the electrical code. The Board also administers examinations for electricians, and issues electrical licenses and permits for the County. Fees and fines related to license examinations, renewals, and reinstatements are set by the Board of County Commissioners.

Hearing complaints against licensees, the Board may suspend or revoke a license or permit in findings of fraud or incompetence. Appeals of Board decisions, or cases where criminal guilt is decided, are heard by the Circuit Court. The Board maintains records of meeting minutes, electrician licensing, and electrical inspector registration.

Five members constitute the Board. They are appointed by the Board of County Commissioners to three-year terms. The Chair is chosen by the Board (County Code, secs. 98-1 through 98-29).


BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS

The Board of License Commissioners issues alcoholic beverage licenses for Caroline County. The County Codes Administrator serves as Inspector for the Board (Code 1957, Art. 2B, sec. 15-112).

In Caroline County, the Liquor Control Board constitutes the Board of License Commissioners (Code 1957, Art. 2B, sec. 15-101). The Board's three members are appointed by the Governor to five-year terms (Code 1957, Art. 2B, sec. 15-103).
