CHARTER REVISION COMMISSION
After publication of each decennial census of the United States, the Anne Arundel County Charter requires that the County Council appoint a Charter Revision Commission. The Commission makes a comprehensive study of the County government, updates its Charter where necessary, and may recommend revisions to councilmanic districts at that time (County Charter, Article XII, sec. 1203).
Authorized by County Council Resolution no. 28-11, the last Charter Revision Commission was appointed in April 2011, and submitted its final report to the County Council on April 16, 2012.
