Biannual Report to Governor.
The Governor's Inter-Agency Heroin and Opioid Coordinating Council was created as a subcabinet in February 2015 (Executive Order 01.01.2015.13).
Member agencies of the Council share all relevant information to support the State's response to the heroin and opioid epidemic. Recommendations for policy, regulations, or legislation that would facilitate such sharing of information may be developed by the Council.
Biannually, the Council reports to the Governor on what each member agency is doing to address heroin and opioid treatment, overdoses, education, and interdiction. Through the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, the Council annually submits to the Govenor and the public the Inter-Agency Heroin and Opioid Coordination Plan.
