Served in U.S. Army (captain), 1983-89 (Meritorious Service Medal; Army Commendation Medal with oak leaf cluster; Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon; Joint Meritorious Unit Award for operations in Persian Gulf). Harvard Business School, M.B.A., 1991. Senior marketing manager, telecommunications, MCI. West Point Military Liaison Officer and Recruiter for Washington, DC, Montgomery County, Southern Howard County, and Prince George's County, U.S. Army Reserve. Co-Chair, Local Neighborhood Watch Program. Married; two children.
