UNEMPLOYMENT RATES

In June 2016, Maryland's unemployment rate dropped to 4.3%, lower than the 4.5% in May 2016. It is also continues to be lower than the national rate of 4.9%. Despite national economic stresses, employers in professional and business services, education and health services, and leisure and hospitality reported employment gains over the past year.
